From memory's halls, necessity calls
Her mind at last to right
Her love from the land, she greets the demand
To lead the foreign fight

Her people displaced, they bid her in haste
Embrace the timeless mold
And gateway entreat their prison defeat
To depths of Hells untold.

I love this prophesy! I wrote it to use as a pre-scene quote for just one scene in Awakening, but the meter is really cool, and I enjoy the rhyme scheme a lot, too.

Though the prophesy actually comes to pass in Book 3, the quote appears in Book 1 before a scene involving the Empress Deira. What do you think it foretells?

Alongside every prophesy is an attribution block. This block contains a byline giving the name of the person who said the prophesy, and a dateline giving the day the prophesy was first said. Here is the attribution for this portent:
